SAFETY

As we navigate through this Covid-19 pandemic, WC2P is committed to the health and safety of our staff and students.

​

As part of this commitment, WC2P in accordance with Public Health recommendations,we will be providing hand sanitizers to every athlete, and staff members.


Each student-athlete will be given and expectation to follow the safety guidelines while at WC2P and at the practice  and game facilities.

COACH ANTHONY - BIO

Known to many as DJ Tony D, Coach Anthony as he is referred to in the basketball community is a

Concordia University graduate, where he obtained a degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. 

 

His vision is focused on young people between ages 10-19 who are facing socioeconomic and/or academic challenges. He helps these young people live up to their potential through a focus on academic excellence and basketball and gives his full support to athletes ensuring they stay focused on reaching their goals. 

 

"We Came 2 Play" a girls and boys academic and sports program notable for winning many championships within the 12 years of being operational and with coach Anthony coaching. In addition to his successful teams, Coach Anthony is highly regarded as a mentor, friend, brother, and even a father figure to many of his athletes; all of which contribute his ability to easily recruit talented players.

  • Coaches and recruits players for both Jr. & Sr. teams

  • Serves as the Gym teacher for Phys. Ed class

  • Communicates with conveners,coaches, schools,recruiting,athletes and parents.

  • First point of contact for parents regarding basketball / team concerns

  • Fills out paperwork for league membership, tournaments and games

  • Manages team tracking application (i.e. Teamingly, Team Snap, etc.)

  • Takes pictures and uploads to team tracking application & social media

  • First point of contact for parents and student athletes with concerns around academics/payments

  • Collects and tracks all payments for WC2P

  • Program liaison between parents, athletes and WC2P staff

  • Creates academic timetables for the Basketball Program student athletes
